CEO DATELINE - PIAA changes name to MPL Association

Rockville, Md.-based PIAA has rebranded as the Medical Professional Liability Association and adopted a new tagline: "Analysis. Insight. Advocacy."
PIAA was established in 1975 as Physician Insurers Association of America. The group represents a range of entities doing business in medical professional liability.
"We are committed to ensuring that the MPL Association remains an indispensable resource for every group with a commitment to quality healthcare and a stake in MPL, irrespective of structure—mutual, reciprocal, (risk retention group), captive, stock, or trust," association CEO Brian Atchinson said.
The association also unveiled a new website reflecting the new brand and logo: www.mplassociation.org
